Old Oak Flooring

The man known as the Father of Bourbon, Scottish chemist Dr.
James C. Crow, worked long hours inventing the Sour Mash process now
used by most bourbon distilleries.

After arriving in Kentucky in 1823, Dr. Crow worked for a
variety of whiskey makers as a master distiller, and his work earned the
adoration of Henry Clay, Andrew Jackson, and Ulysses S. Grant. But it
was his bourbon that earned national acclaim, thanks to his high
standards and attention to detail. Dr. Crow perfected his Old Crow engineered oak wood flooring products at the Johnson Distillery, which later became the Old
Taylor Distillery. It is a tribute to Dr. Crow’s skills that the Old
Crow Distillery was later founded on the banks of Glenn’s Creek. Many
distilleries, including Old Crow, were built using the durable heart of
longleaf pine. Engineers of the day specified the dimensions and sawing
details of every board, and Bourbon Boards has taken the same great care
to make this engineered flooring oak material available to you. Wood oak flooring engineered is a living, breathing
thing. And as such, it deserves to live on long after its original
purpose has passed.
